Passive vs. Residual Income… What’s the difference?

So I’ve been wondering… Is there a difference between residual and passive income?

is there really?

I see both of them as getting paid monthly without working.

I really don’t know if there is a difference…

what do you think?

I just want to know what someone thinks besides me!

anyways I have a story to tell you.

I ordered 2 bottles of pills the other day because my knee joints have been bothering me lately.

There was a special going on.

Your First month is free! all you pay is shipping!

Good deal right?

of course!

so i jumped on it because my knees need some joint support.

here’s how the phone conversation went when I ordered.

Hi i’m calling to get the joint pill blah blah etc.

the operator says okay.

she get’s my credit card, address and name.

next thing you know she’s upselling me another “complementary” product that adds on to the first product!

For only $3 more!

How can I say no to that!

The funny thing was is that the telemarketer told me about it and just added it to my order.

By the end of the order it was only $10.

It would have been $7 with just the one bottle.

I didn’t even say yes to the second one but it was such a good deal that i said ahh forget it…. it’s a good deal.

Are you up-selling your customers?

Are you down-selling your customers?

Are you cross-selling your customers?

If so then keep up the good work.

If not… Why not?

You realize that the average order of your customer can increase by up-selling them.

Your conversion rate can increase by down-selling because if they don’t buy your product they may buy the down sell.

and cross-selling is yet ANOTHER way to monetize your marketing system.

Keep the cross, up and down-selling in mind next time you sell a product or service.

OR… Just implement it into your marketing right now!

Have an awesome night everyone!

David,

OHH yeah! the facebook group broke the 500 mark today… looks like there are going to be more authority website and web 2.0 dominators out there than i thought!
